WSJ.  An amazing story of fraud on eBay.  A merchant of "wee forest folk" figurines was able to swindle $400 k from buyers before running away with the loot.  A respected merchant with an extensive list of "rave" reviews, Mr. Richardson followed a classic n-1 strategy.  >>>Those who knew Mr. Richardson still can't explain why he misused and abandoned an apparently successful business. Wired.  Attorney sues wireless firms for health risks.  Data on the health risks of cell phones has been around since 1994.  There is a simple solution that my brother designed in 1995 that deflects the transmission away from the users head (which in turn boost the signal strength in the opposite direction).  However, to avoid litigation, the cell phone industry doesn't want to take any action that would be seen as an admission of liability.  8:21:33 AM    Comment_ Trackback []

NYT.  The saga continues.  CT state trash authority lost $220 m in a deal with Enron.  What's worse is the backroom money shifting that is going on that transfers funds from deals like this to other units at Enron that are trying to emerge from bankruptcy. 8:16:45 AM    Comment_ Trackback []
