Just added a small script to the bottom of my weblog to run a scroll.
Took it out. It was breaking aggregators.

Does anybody know how to put an icon in the address/shortcuts menu of IE next to the URL? Example: The NYTimes. It seems like most sites have:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
Is that it?

CNN.com. US troops arrest a Turkish special ops team operating in Iraq in order to stop an attack on a Kurdish leader. Looks like the Turks got their hands caught in the cookie jar. Great ELINT guys.

BuzzMachine. AOL is testing their weblogging tools. The funny part about this is that I was working with them on this 1.5 years ago (including the IM group). They didn't have a clue about nor did they care at all about weblogs. They eventually got the religion (particularly internal groups that wanted to keep their jobs by binding themselves to a large development project). So instead of getting this up quickly a year ago for a nominal amount of money, they opted to spend $20 m++ and develop it themselves. It will also be expensive for them to maintain on a go forward basis given their design. For a company that should be in cost cutting mode (particularly given the broadband trap they are in), this doesn't make sense. As a public company, this is an obvious sell signal. Of course, I am glad AOLers now have a tool to build weblogs. The more the merrier.

Washington Post. Wow. This is an amazing tale of how the Hollywood system works for the small guy (it is also similar to Silicon Valley and the music industry).

Excellent! Great response to yesterday's question (particularly given that it was a holiday). There are a couple items in the critical path of this project yet to be surmounted. Please keep the interest flowing. Also, there is definitely a growing professional interest in K-Logging, enough to build something that could provide mutual benefit in the space (research, case studies, presentations, referrals, etc.).
