High definition TV is flowing through my house now. It is wonderful. Amazing. It is also confusing that given the low cost of high def video production now that people aren't capitlalizing on this to reach some of the best households in the US. Everyone I know is getting it. Even new reality TV in HD will get watched at this juncture.
This is also a great opportunity for PC players. The consumer electronics industry is confused. A simple PC config that can handle high-def TiVo like functionality, 5.1 surround (using the usual connectivitiy), and provide a single remote control is going to win. This is particularly true if they can provide HD content.

When is the next release of Microsoft's Media Center PC software going to come out (with high-definition support)?

Dann remembers Bob's 1998 Wiki product. So do I. If Bob didn't have an aversion to soap and water, I would have spent more time with his demos. ;->

Wired. Extreme computer boxes. I always wondered why there wasn't custom designer cases for computers (fine woods to chrome). Seems like it would be a great business to be in.
