One thing Iraq needs: Web page designers. Example why. More. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I am sure Vincent would have something to say about these sites.

On May 7 the DoD provided the famous Taguba report on Abu Ghraib to the Senate. On May 26 it was found to be missing critical sections (that had to do with Rumsfeld's and Gen. Miller's actions to ramp up activity at the prison last fall). The DoD promised that there wasn't a cover-up and promised to send the sections immediately. As of today, those critical sections have not arrived. Time to revisit this: clearly the effort here is to put as much distance as possible between the initial revelations and evidence of any involvement of Rumsfeld and Miller. This will only make things worse.

Wow, I hope this is true (it is!). The Director of the CIA, George Tenet to resign. Tenet presided over two of the worst intelligence disasters in our history during his watch as the Director. Why is our system of governance so slow to hold security services accountable? It doesn't stop there.
The entire security system is broken and it is likely to stay that way. Why? Virtually all security jobs in the US require (both in the government and with contractors) an active security clearance in order to apply. Further, security clearances are backlogged by hundreds of thousands of applicants and are only given to existing personnel. This means: we are breathing our own exhaust. We aren't bringing in the outside talent necessary to fix a broken system.

Hackworth: The majority of our wars have been pricey and prolonged. Many have bitterly divided the nation. And predictably, few of the war-pushers in the White House or Congress have fought or at least served on active duty. This is particularly true with the chicken hawks responsible for our latest and possibly most catastrophic military misadventure – and just try to name any of their kids currently in sweating a bullet or a mine explosion.
